Golden Christmas Hollandaise Sauce with Rich Yolk Eggs
Serves: 4 PeopleAdd a golden touch of luxury to your festive table with our Christmas Hollandaise Sauce. Easy yet indulgent, it’s perfect for Christmas brunch or dinner, making every dish feel extra special and wonderfully rich for the season.
Instructions
- - Step 1Melt butter in a pan or microwave
- - Step 2Split your yolks into a separate bowl from the whites
- - Step 3Put yolks into a bowl over gently simmering water
- - Step 4Add vinegar to yolks and start to whisk until they become fluffy and pale
- - Step 5Gradually add the melted butter to thicken (if it begins to split, remove from the heat and add a touch of cold water to the mixture)
- - Step 6Zest and juice the lemon
- - Step 7Once it makes a nice thick mixture, add the remainder of the ingredients (Dijon, lemon zest & juice, salt and pepper) - mix this through
- - Step 8You can serve straight or leave it to cool to room temperature for up to an hour.
