As some of you may have already seen in the news, the pandemic and the pressure it has put on the NHS has meant some cancer patients are facing long delays for their treatment. Pancreatic Cancer UK have found that for some pancreatic cancer treatments, delays can be up 2 months long.
Pancreatic cancer is the quickest killing cancer with more than half of people diagnosed not surviving the first 3 months. This means that a delay of 2 months for treatment could mean the difference between life and death. It’s absolutely vital that people with pancreatic cancer are not pushed to the back of the queue. That’s why Pancreatic Cancer UK have just launched their ‘No Time To Wait’ campaign.
We would be very grateful if you could sign the campaign and leave a comment asking NHS decision makers to get people with pancreatic cancer off the waiting list. It only takes a couple of minutes and can be done through this link.
Every person who signs up is giving people with pancreatic cancer a chance to survive this terrible disease during an extremely challenging time.
Thank you so much for supporting an issue close to us heart.
