Following on from the success of last year which saw us scoop Innovation of The Year for our health centred Super Eggs at the National Egg & Poultry Awards, we are looking forward to the 2022 awards season with great gusto, which sees us shortlisted for Egg Packer of the Year as well as the biggie – Poultry Business of The Year!
These nominations are especially poignant following the challenges we have faced together over the past couple of years. 2022 has seen the industry face many hurdles with the impact of the war in Ukraine forcing the cost of wheat and fuel to an all-time high. In addition, the Avian Influenza (bird flu) season has been the most devastating on record and has had a real impact on the egg and poultry industry.
Although these have been challenging times, St Ewe Free Range Eggs is staying true to our values, maintaining high standards of welfare and quality whilst continuously looking to innovate and move our family business forward into the national market.
Our industry is full of outstanding producers and packers, so to be shortlisted in both of these categories is such an honour and we feel incredibly humbled.
