St. Ewe Cracks a Hat-Trick at Taste of The West Awards

June 1 2023

St. Ewe Free Range Eggs from Grampound Road, Truro have struck gold with three of their brands scooping awards at this year’s Taste of The West awards, the largest independent regional food group in the UK.

St. Ewe Eggs have been awarded gold for their much loved Original eggs as well as newcomers to the range; Dabbling Duck and Rich Yolk: Opulent Collection.

Taste of the West has been running since 1991, with the aim of the awards to promote and support fantastic local food and drink from the Southwest – Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire. Their ethos remains the same today as it’s always been – quality, integrity and provenance.

This annual awards scheme ensures high standards are maintained, aiming to champion food and drink producers from all over the West Country, proving that when it comes to what you eat and drink, you are getting the best from the Southwest.

St. Ewe’s CEO Bex Tonks remarks, “We are honoured to be recognised for the consistent quality and taste of our eggs, none of which would be possible without the hard work and dedication from our team, our producer farmers, our suppliers and of course our wonderful girls!

Our Dabbling Duck eggs have been a long time in the making and to win an award for these in their maiden year is simply wonderful and a real testament to our farmers, who work so hard to assure consistent quality in the eggs and welfare standards of their flocks.”

As the largest independent regional food group in the UK, Taste of the West support local food and drink producers, retailers, distributors, pubs, cafes, farm shops and restaurants and showcase the passion for provenance and the quality the region has to offer.

St. Ewe eggs can be found in major supermarkets across the region and nationally within Tesco, Sainsburys and Marks and Spencer.
