The Cateys are a prestigious award ceremony for the UK hospitality industry, first held in 1984 and described as the hospitality industry’s equivalent of the Oscars. Winning a Catey is a cherished moment as all recipients are nominated, selected, and rewarded by a judging panel of industry peers through The Caterer magazine.
St. Ewe Free Range Eggs are honoured to be sponsoring the award for Group Restaurateur of the Year at this year’s ceremony. This award is open to individuals who have made their mark in running system-led companies operating branded and themed food and drink outlets.
“We’re so excited to have St. Ewe Free Range Eggs sponsoring the award for Restaurateur of the Year – Group at the 2024 Cateys. With entries closing soon and judging about to begin, it’s set to be a great year for the biggest event in the hospitality industry’s calendar.”
St. Ewe CEO Bex Tonks will be joining the judges who will be looking for a solid and outstanding performance in the past financial year with the winner crowned at the ceremony held at the Grosvenor House, London on Tuesday 2nd July.
“Our family business has come such a long way since starting out life some 40 years ago and that is thanks to our amazing team, farmers, our beautiful hens and of course, our loyal customers.
The UK is famed for its world-class produce, hospitality and genuine passion for its people.
Having worked in the hospitality industry myself, I have always admired how group restauranteurs can take the success of one restaurant and apply it across multiple sites imparting the core ingredients of a much-loved establishment, its values, authenticity, and character.
It takes solid teamwork, hard graft, and resilience to make a restaurant flow successfully and give guests an outstanding, memorable dining experience. We apply the same notion to our business and supporting this category is such an honour; aligning our brand with the Cateys and the Group Restauranteur of The Year category.”
From the whole of the team at St. Ewe Free Range Eggs, we wish all entrants the very best of luck and thank you for your contribution to the UK’s hospitality sector.
